Mason Tender Rates

Group A Mason Tender

Wage Rate Effective July 1, 2004 $10.90

Minimum wage rate effective July 1, 2004 provided the employee has no more than 4 absences in the previous 3 month period, and has otherwise performed in a competent manner during this period.

• Minimum 6,000 hours experience
• In addition to Group B and C Tenders
• Able to operate all equipment of the project(i.e. mixer, forklifts, etc.)
• Able to erect all types of scaffolding efficiently and without supervision
• Manage masons' moves without supervision
• Always demonstrates good leadership with fellow co-workers for the best interest of the Company
• Demands high work performance from other tenders
• Accomplishes considerably more skilled work than others on a daily basis
• Leader in all necessary safety requirements

Group B Mason Tender

Wage Rate Effective July 1, 2004 $9.55

Minimum wage rate effective July 1, 2004 provided the employee has no more than 4 absences in the previous 3 month period, and has otherwise performed in a competent manner during this period.

• Minimum 3,000 hours experience
• In addition to Group C Tenders
• Able to set up a mason's work station
• Able to erect rigid and operate ride up scaffold with little supervision
• Demonstrates safe work habits and maintains a safe work record
• Able to motivate other tenders
• Able to work well with little supervision
• Able to teach less skilled tenders
• Works well with Foreman and Mason

Group C Mason Tender Trainee

Wage Rate Effective July1, 2004

$8.60

Minimum wage rate effective July 1, 2004 provided the employee has no more than 3 absences in the previous 3 month period, and has otherwise performed in a competent manner during this period.

• Minimum 1,000 hours experience
• Must be able to stack up materials
• Able to understand and follow through to completion of a project foreman's instructions
• Able to rub walls, scrape floors, and spread sand on the floors
• Must be able to transfer materials, tools, supplies, etc.
• Able to level out grades and remove debris with a shovel
• Able to temper mortar
• Knowledge and ability to clean equipment
• Work well with other tenders and accept training and direction from Group A and B tenders
• Wears proper work clothes, company hard hat, work boots, long pants, etc.
• Must understand and obey all safety regulations

Group D Clean Up Laborer Trainee

Wage Rate Effective July 1, 2004

$7.35

Minimum wage rate effective July 1, 2004 provided the employee has no more than 3 absences in the previous 3 month period, and has otherwise performed in a competent manner during this period.

Effective Dates
This agreement shall be in effect this 1st day of July 2004, shall continue in effect until June 30, 2006, and shall automatically renew from year to year thereafter unless 60 days' notice of the intent to terminate or modify this agreement prior to the expiration date of this agreement is given via certified mail or by one party to the other party.

Sep. 01, 2004 - By proclamation, Governor Mark R. Warner appointed Virginia/North Carolina District Council Business Manager Robert "Bobby" Myers chairman of the Governor's Workforce Development Panel. The 21 member panel will include representatives from Labor, Contractors, Business and the Education sectors. The panels primary objective will be to develop more effective paths for workers looking to pursue a career in the construction industry.
